  1. I’m reading your new book now and am enjoying it. I was, for a time, a “philo major”, and read a lot of Wittgenstein, as well as supplementary material about the Vienna Circle. Many years later, I find myself drawn more to the work of Stephen Toulmin (Uses of Argument, Cosmopolis, Return to Reason, than any or the other Big Names I encountered back then.
I think you make a strong case that philosophy is no guard against becoming an absolute “goose” about politics. What, in your view, is the best primer to understanding politics? I grant that a person may be able to reason and yet be foolish about politics, I sometimes wonder, “Who is worth listening to on the subject of politics? Who is NOT being a goose?”
